LITHUANIAN COMPANIES ENGAGED IN AMBER BUSINESS JOINED A CLUSTER
Aiming to promote a brand Amber Made in Lithuania
The goal is to increase awareness of the Lithuanian amber industry. attract new members who either make amber products or buy them for their stores worldwide.
Lithuanian amber craftsmanship is different from Polish and Russian, by its aesthetics. It is more about the beauty of amber itself, while Polish and Russian production uses metals for their designs.
The drop in purchase scopes in China enabled recovery of other markets were amber used to be popular. These are the countries, which were not among the top markets due to booming amber purchases in Asia. Thus there is a need to redirect our focus from China to other markets as well.
Currently amber artists in Lithuania work with amber from Poland and Russia. We are working on cooperation with Ukrainian companies to increase the used of Ukrainian amber in our production.
Amber is a symbol of the country’s history and traditions. Even if we do not mine amber, we have experience of amber craftsmanship and were part of amber route.
